Rick's Cosmology Tutorial: Appendix A6 Abstract

In Appendix A2 we have derived the deuteron photodisintegration cross section with respect to photons of a specified energy. The disintegration rate at a given temperature is obtained by integrating the rate for a specific photon energy over the black body distribution of photons energies. This is carried out here and shown to be in essentially exact agreement with published photodisintegration rates.
